This morning the kids slept until 8:15! So, our great weekend was pouring over into the beginning of the week! But then Monday arrived.......When Emery woke up, I went in to find her with her diaper off (again), standing in the corner of the bed. This wasn't a complete surprise because when I checked on her last night, she had managed to take her pajama pants off. So, I was watching her on the video monitor this morning, ready to go in as soon as she woke up! Too late. Pee everywhere. Since she was standing in the corner, it had run down the corner bed post, onto the carpet, onto the dust ruffle, and of course all over the mattress. It even managed to hit the section of the mattress that had been torn during the move, so it missed the mattress protector and went straight into the mattress.
I think this is payback from yesterday. Pete put Emery down for nap in just her diaper and a shirt, deciding to "risk it". When she woke up, of course her diaper was off and the sheets were wet. I told Pete that his punishment was washing all of the sheets and blankets, cleaning up Emery, and putting on a clean sheet. He needed to learn the hard way. :-) Is this now my punishment for being a mean wife??
After cleaning up the mess, I couldn't help but laugh as I watched Emery run around the house brushing her teeth with a hair brush. Gross, but funny. To top it off, she then sat in my lap pointing at each one of my freckles asking "what's that?". After about the tenth time I said "freckle", she'd start laughing. That game should keep her busy for a while (LOTS of freckles to count). :-)

What a "fun" way to start the day! Been there, done that, feel your pain immensely! We had success with putting diapers on backwards at night. A little tricky to get on, but worth the "pee-free" mornings!
