Ok, I'm finally attempting to turn this blog into a book. I tried many months ago by using Blurb, but got frustrated and gave it up. Now Blurb has made some upgrades, so I'm giving it another shot. I'M ALREADY PULLING MY HAIR OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've had to reboot my computer 4 times today because it locks up when using Booksmart (the Blurb program). I've actually completed a few pages, but it is definitely cumbersome.
I know some of you out there have used this program, so I need any tips, words of wisdom or warnings that you may have! Are there any other good programs out there for creating a book from a blog? Help!

I am seriously posting an entire post on how to format your blog book in Word!! I've finished 90% of it and will be posting it on Saturday.
My method takes a ton of 4 hours for an entire year!
Do you have a PC or a Mac? I had a PC and hubby had a Mac. He had NO problems with blurb and it was torture for me every time I used it. I finally converted to a Mac in the Fall and I haven't looked back. Blurb works like a charm and I NEVER have any problems with my computer. No viruses, NOTHING. Not that this comment will help you if you have a PC but I wanted to comment nonetheless - I'm sure your frustrations are shared by millions of PC users! BTW - you kiddos grow more and more beautiful each time I check your blog. And I'm simply terrified of either of my girls figuring out how to strip in their cribs. You're a tropper! Hang in there. It can only get better....right????

I didn't have much trouble with Scott and Heidi's book. It did take along time. This time it is going much quicker since they upgraded. I don't remember my computer ever locking up. I've probably jinxed myself now!
I had the same problem last year when I attempted to turn our blog into a First Year memoir. None of the photos downloaded and it was a disaster. I wrote Blurb several emails with questions and it turns out that I had an older version of Blogger (from what I could decipher) and to make the program usable would take WAY more time than I had.
Did you read LauraC's post on how she used Word and then Lulu? I think I'm going to go that route and (hopefully!) get the First Year documented in a book. Hey...better late than never!
P.S. My boys love the water table too! Now if it would only get above 20 degrees....
