1. I got up early on Saturday and went grocery shopping. I saved a ton of money through coupons and promotions. This is actually really exciting for me (I know...weird).
2. My Dad came over to see the kids. We played in the yard and had a great time. We are loving that people can drop by and see us for a few hours now instead of having to make the long trip to Indiana. We loved having visitors in Indiana, but let's face it....not everyone WANTS to see us for 3 days straight every time they visit!

3. I got to go mountain biking TWICE! I went on Saturday with our good friend Bill and back on Sunday by myself. Pete also got to ride on Sunday. I'm still out of shape but getting better.
4. We grilled out on Saturday night with Bill (after mountain biking), our friend Steve, and his wife Maria. They came over to check out our new house. After putting the kids to bed, we made hamburgers, sat out on the deck, talked about the economy, and played with Steve's cool new iphone.
5. Saturday morning, I went to church while Pete kept the kids. On the way home, I stopped by SuperTarget and picked out some summer clothes for Gavin and Emery. Have you noticed that they have been wearing the same outfits in EVERY picture lately? Well, now we are stocked up and ready for the warm weather!

6. We finished off the weekend by watching Celebrity Apprentice, which so far is hilarious.
Having twins while living 12 (or more) hours away from most family members has definitely had it's challenging moments. It certainly makes us appreciate being back home.** The uncertainty of the last 6 months has also been a little crazy, but could it be that we are actually getting back to a "normal" life? I hope so.....whatever our new "normal" may be!

**To clarify, we actually moved back to MY home, near my family. Moving back to Texas actually puts us further from Pete's family (in the Northeast). This is definitely a disadvantage, but we really hope to be making some trips up to see them soon!
