Little Brother

In true younger sibling fashion, Ethan ALWAYS wants what his older brother and sister have.  He’ll crawl right past his toys over to the box of Matchbox cars (This drives Gavin nuts!).

Now that we’re accumulating more toys with small pieces, we’ve been reorganizing so that almost all older kid toys are out of the living room.  I brought a bin of baby toys down from upstairs so that Ethan would have some new and exciting things to play with.

Gavin and Emery were so excited to see their long long toys.  Ethan wasn’t impressed with the baby stuff.  He scoped it out and then crawled behind the chair to find the remaining birthday balloons.

I have a feeling he’s going to take after his sister.  From the time Emery was his age, she would eye up a room, find her target, and go for it.  If we left the baby gate open, she was out of the playroom in a split second.  She’s was (and still is) SO observant.  I literally can’t hide anything from her.  And I swear she could scale a tree for a coconut (meaning that she’s a good climber, not that she really likes coconut).  :-)

So, a new element has been added to our house.  Crawling baby and choking hazards everywhere……and an older brother who flips out when the crawling baby gets near his stuff.  Thank goodness, because it was getting kind of boring around here.  haha
