Brown County State Park- Looking Back.......

With the trees changing, it made me think of what we were doing last year at this time. We took our first out of town trip with the babies to Brown County State Park, about an hour and 1/2 south of here. My mom and stepdad drove up from Texas to meet us at a cabin, where we stayed for several nights. This is one of our favorite mountain bike trails and Pete and I were able to do a couple of short rides while the babies stayed with Grandma and Grandpa. The babies were about 10 weeks old and had just started sleeping through the night (5-7 hour stretches). Gavin was still on oxygen for his laryngomalacia ......incase you're wondering about all of the tubing. This was a great trip that is etched in my memory. My last overnight trip was in May (not able to travel a lot when I was pregnant), so I was ready to get out of town! We're hoping to make a trip to Brown County next weekend to see the trees and let Gavin and Emery check out the scenery.......or in reality, pick up rocks and eat dirt. :-)

**I know in the last post I said that the babies just took their first trip to a mountain bike trail, but I guess THIS was actually the first trip. Oh well......the first year was kind of a blur, so don't hold it against me. :-)
