Swimming!

Last week we spent a few days in San Angelo, Texas where we visited family members and celebrated Gavin and Emery's 2nd birthday a few weeks early! A highlight of the trip was swimming in my brother and sister-in-law's backyard pool. We spent every free moment in the pool and the kids loved it!

Getting ready for the pool with "Nemo" (that's what Emery calls the fish).........

Gavin took some time to warm up to the idea of swimming. He hung out on the side of the pool and in his new Jump-o-lene (awesome birthday present from Uncle Robbie and Aunt Miranda).........

Emery, on the other hand was a little fish. She was fearless. Pete threw her in the air over and over and over. She just couldn't get enough!

Taking a break, just relaxin'...........

On the second day, Gavin decided to give it a try. He was timid in the beginning, but once Pete started tossing him in the air, he was hooked!

He had the same expression each time on the way down.......

Pete was worn out after throwing over 33 lbs. up in the air 100 times in a row!

Emery was still having fun too! Notice that we changed from the float suits to life jackets. The life jackets were SO much better. Hopefully we'll be able to use the float suits when they're a little older.

Emery also got in some girl time with Aunt Miranda while we were there.......

She got a pedicure.........

And a new hairdo..........

And Gavin learned to stay away from "girl time"! :-)
