Luckily, no major damage was done.....just a few scratches (to the house and the case). Wouldn't you know it, Pete was calling from work as I walked in the door! I am REALLY thankful to have a nice husband. He was very understanding, especially since he put the first scratches on the cargo case during a "parking garage incident" a few weeks ago!
POST UPDATE: Pete got home from work and took the cargo case off of the car, so that I could pull out of the garage. After seeing it in person, he has no idea how I was able to drive all the way into the garage. Unfortunately, I didn't hear the noise (of plastic flexing) until it was too late, so we just popped right in! :-)

Ha! that sure sounds like something I would do! That "trapped" feeling isn't fun... a few weeks ago, our garage door broke off the chain and being big and pregnant I couldn't lift it to get out... I was stuck and my poor dog was at the groomer waiting for me to pick her up! My sister rescued the dog and my husband's friend rescued us by fixing it. :)
Reminds me of when I put a brand new car TV antenna for a trip to Washington and Robbie's back seat TV. Cost about $90. Then...Ibacked out of the garage and tore it off. The apple does fall far from the tree.
