Conner Prairie

Today we went to Conner Prairie, which is a settler's village just down the road from us. Check out http://www.connerprairie.com/ for more information.
Walking into the village
Gavin LOVES the petting zoo. Emery checking out the cow
All of these people were in line so their kids could get a picture made with Dora and Diego. I'm REALLY glad ours are too young to know who Dora and Diego are.
Taking in a show. Emery doesn't look too enthused.
Really cool covered bridge
Pete, Emery, and Gavin WAY in the background
Chasing chickens. We should've had the offroad stroller.
We have a season pass to Conner Prairie. When the kids get older, they can "be a farm hand for a day". They let the kids gather eggs from the chicken coop, pump water, and help with other random farm chores. Pretty cool place to have so close to us.

Sounds like a great place. I can just see them when they older in period costumes, gathering eggs, etc. It already looks like Emery won't mind wearing a bonnet. Gavin didn't do any hair pulling at the petting zoo, did he? I don't think the animals will be as forgiving as his sister.
